The next local elections will be in May 2010. It is likely that the General Election will be on the same day.

Greens announce election candidates

Want to vote in the General Election ? Register now !

When the General Election is called, it will be too late to register so you need to act now. To be able to vote you must be on the electoral register and be 18 or over on or before polling day which is likely to be May 6th 2010, the same day as Sheffield City Council elections. If you're a citizen of an EU member state registered to vote in this country, you are entitled do vote in the council elections only. Contact Electoral Services on (0114) 273 6910 if you're not sure whether you're registered and any other information.

Am I able to vote?

To be able to vote you must be on the electoral register and be 18 or over on or before polling day. If you're a citizen of an EU member state registered to vote in this country, you are entitled do so in these local elections.

If you're on the register, and would find it more convenient to vote by post, you can apply for a postal vote.

Elections in 2010

There are no local elections in Sheffield this year, but we are already preparing for the 2010 elections when we shall defend our seat in Central Ward and contest all the local wards.
