Greens organise action day in Broomhill
27th November 2007
Broomhill Green party has organised a green
action day in part of
Broomhill ward on Sunday 2 December. They're working with the
local residents group in the triangle formed by Roebuck, Sydney
and Burns Roads, to clean up any rubbish in this area.
Rob Cole, the Green Party's Broomhill spokesperson
said "This is a
lovely part of Broomhill. We're delighted to be working with local
residents and students to make it even better. I'm sure lots of
people will take part. And we hope there will be an active local
group to co-ordinate subsequent action in this area."
The event is starting at the top of the wooded
bank on Sydney Road at
noon on Sunday 2 December. People taking part should wear appropriate
clothing, gloves and footwear, because the bank is fairly steep
and overgrown.
