Trident Nuclear Missiles

Dear Sir

Two days after committing tens of billions to Trident nuclear missiles, Gordon Brown failed to increase Winter Fuel Payments for pensioners despite the massive rise in energy bills this year. This inaction is likely to be directly or indirectly responsible for deaths this winter.

Governments always find money for weapons that kill people. This is clearly at the expense of funding basic living conditions for the most vulnerable in society to keep them alive and well.
